NESTFLOW · Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version

NESTFLOW runs on your computer. Your designs, your files and your layouts never leave it. The only data that goes to our servers and providers is what the license and billing need.

Controller

Cero Stress is the controller of your data. Its contact email is at the end of this policy.

What we collect

When you request the evaluation. On the website you give us your email and accept the Terms. We store that email, whether you agreed to receive news, the version of the Terms you accepted, the date, the IP address you requested it from, the system (Mac or Windows) and the page language. We use it to send you the evaluation key and to stop the same person from requesting endless evaluations. Your email also goes to Keygen, our license provider, stored with the evaluation key.

On your computer, during the evaluation. The Software keeps a record of the evaluation with the date it started and the last time it was opened, sealed so it cannot be edited. It survives uninstalling, so the evaluation does not restart, and it never leaves your computer.

When you buy. Your name, your email and your payment and billing details are collected by our merchant of record (currently Lemon Squeezy), which charges, invoices and handles applicable sales taxes under its own privacy policy. From the purchase we only keep your email and the license key issued to you; we do not store your name. Your email goes to Keygen with your license. We never see or store card numbers.

When you activate. The Software sends the license key, a machine fingerprint, a technical label so you can tell your computers apart (for example "Mac · 3F9A") and the operating system (macOS or Windows). The fingerprint is a code computed from your computer's motherboard identifier (or, if that cannot be read, from other technical data of the computer) that cannot be reversed. It is pseudonymous: it does not carry your name, but it is linked to your license. Your computer's name, your name and your files are not sent. As with any internet connection, each request carries the IP address it is made from. That is how we confirm the key and keep count of your two seats; Keygen stores the fingerprint, the label and the system with your license.

Offline activation. The panel prepares a message with the license key, the fingerprint, the machine label and the date. You send it from your email to license@cero-stress.com and we reply with the activation file.

While you use it. Nothing. Nesting, cut paths, DXF export and the offcut library are computed and stored locally: in your user folder, in Documents/NESTFLOW and inside your own .ai file. We do not receive your documents, part shapes, materials, prices or job names.

License check. Each time you open the panel with internet, the Software confirms that your license is still active: it sends the key and the computer fingerprint (and, like every request, your IP), nothing else, and has nothing to do with billing. Without a connection nothing breaks: the panel keeps working for up to seven days. The installer also adds nestflow.updater, a small agent that does for the panel what needs the internet when Illustrator has no connection (for example, if a firewall blocks it). It starts when you log in and every 4 hours, but only connects when needed: to renew the license (usually once a day: when it is more than 20 hours old or has expired; it also checks when the panel opens without a connection or you click “Check now”, and only connects if a renewal is due), to activate a key typed in the installer or the panel, and when you click “Release this machine” or a subscription action (view, cancel or resume) in the panel. For the license and for releasing the computer it talks to the license server (Keygen) and sends the key, the fingerprint and, when a new computer is added, a label like “Mac · XXXX” without your name. For the subscription it talks to our server (nestflow.cero-stress.com) and sends the action, the key, the fingerprint and, if you cancel, the reason and comment you write, if any. You can turn it off at any time (on a Mac, in System Settings › General › Login Items): the panel keeps working and, if Illustrator has internet, renews the license on its own. “NestFlow Uninstaller” (Mac, in Applications) or Settings › Apps › NestFlow (Windows) removes it. When uninstalling, before removing NestFlow, the license is released from this computer on the license server (the key and fingerprint are sent) and the license and key stored on the computer are deleted; your settings, offcut library and saved jobs are kept.

When you cancel. If you cancel from the panel, you can tell us why. The reason is optional; we keep it with your license to learn what to improve.

News. Only if you ticked the box when requesting the evaluation. We do not send newsletters yet; to leave the list, write to support@cero-stress.com. Once we start sending them, each one will carry a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address.

Website. This website does not use analytics or cookies. It only remembers in your browser (with localStorage) the language you chose. The fonts are downloaded from Google Fonts and the 3D view library from cdnjs (Cloudflare); as with any download, those services see your IP address.

Purposes and legal bases

Who we share it with

Nobody else, unless a competent authority requires it by law. We do not sell data or use it to train artificial intelligence models.

International transfers

Keygen, HostGator and our merchant of record store the data in the United States. Those transfers take place because they are necessary to perform our contract with you (sending you the key, activating the license and charging the subscription), which is one of the conditions in article 33 of Panama's Law 81 of 2019. In addition, with Keygen and HostGator they are covered by data protection contract clauses: each one's standard contractual clauses and, for HostGator, its data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it, except what a law requires us to keep (such as purchase records for accounting), which we keep only for that purpose and until that period ends.

Your rights

Panama's Law 81 of 2019 gives you the rights of access, rectification, cancellation (erasure), objection and portability over your data, and you cannot waive them. To exercise them, write to support@cero-stress.com from your license email, or tell us how to check that the data is yours. We answer within these periods:

If we do not answer in time or you disagree with our answer, you can file a complaint with Panama's National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).

If you live in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the GDPR also gives you the right to ask us to restrict processing and to withdraw your consent at any time, and you can file a complaint with your country's data protection authority.

You can also release a machine seat from the panel. Deleting your license data ends your license.

Children

The Software and the site are for businesses and people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
